My dear colleagues;
This letter of the first lecture printed in PHARMACIA TIAWAN NESLETTER,
It’s wrong point of view with our colleague, so everything seems dark to you. Everything
Have two sides, one dark and the other bright. If you look only at the dark side of things,
Naturally you fall into pessimism. Nothing seems worthwhile to you. Discontent fills up Minding. I am afraid this will lead to serious results.
In this world we have success as well as failure. Our daily experience show that in most
Cases industry and determination do result in success. For those who lack will power or
Ability we can with a degree of certainly predicts their failure. It is not nature but our own
Weakness, it is the cause of our misery. If we have only the will and the strength to
Sustain it, we can conquer anything.
So you see we need not despair of success. This world is at least one in which justice
In a measure prevails. Though it is dark side is not to be neglected, you can always gain
Hope and from it is bright side. Therefore, cheer up and be iron-willed to doing
Work as hard as it is possible. You will be rewarded with brilliant-success.

I hope you will not misjudge our motives in taking this attitude-POSITIVE THINKING.
I think you will come to see that lately we have taken the kinder course to cure Disease-PESSIMISM.

敬愛的同事們：

此封被刊登在台灣法瑪西亞公司季刊中的講稿，將能夠矯正公司同事的錯誤觀點，一切事情
在你們看來一切都是黯淡的。每件事都有兩面，一面陰暗一面光明。如你們只看事情咳黑暗的一面，自
然你們會變得悲觀。沒有一件事在你們看來是值得的。你們的思想充滿不滿。我恐怕這會導致
嚴重後果。

在這個世界，我們有成功，也就有失敗。我們日常經驗告訴我們，勤勉和堅毅確能成功。
欠缺意志力和能力的人，我們在某種確定程度上，確可預測到他們的失敗。只是我們的弱點而
非上蒼，是我們悲慘的緣由。只要我們有意志和精力來支持，我們可戰勝一切。
所以你們看，我們不必失望不會成功。這是一個至少尚有一些公道的世界。雖然不能忽視
黑暗的一面，你們可常在光明的一面得到希望和力量。因此，振作起來吧！要意志堅強，能多
麼用功，便多麼用功地作你們的工作；你們將得到光輝成功的報酬。
我希望你們不會誤解我們採取這種態度的動機：積極的思想，我想你們將會認識到；畢竟
我們是採取一項更妥善的方式來治療我們的疾病：悲觀。
